We recently renovated a 4 bedroom semi-detached house (North London), and funnily enough are moving in today. It has UFH on the ground floor and a radiator in each of the bedrooms upstairs.
Key Products:
I believe that the plumber our builder contracted to install all of this, hasn't done a very good job. This isn't helped by the fact that he has no idea how to commission the boiler - it was initially left in demo mode and then with sensor faults.
We went for the Vitodens due to its efficiency features, but it has been set up as 2 pipe / single flow (not sure what the correct term is), which I've read (and been told by Viessmann) doesn't make use of those features. The plumber said that a 4 pipe (again no idea of the correct term) setup would result in it taking ages to heat the house, and that he would have to take a valve off the SystemReady Megaflo which could affect the warranty.
The UFH is split into 6 zones with a Heatmiser neoStat in each area. The upstairs has a single Heatmiser neoAir which can control heating and hot water. I have the neoHub so can monitor heating via the phone app and likewise for the boiler.
Chances are that I will need to get someone else in to review and make changes where necessary, but first I would like to get a better understanding on how this should have been set up, whether there is any truth to what the plumber has said, and get some overall suggestions
