AEG Lavamat pump filter

Our W/M stopped emptying and spinning.

I've managed to download the manual for the AEG Lavamat 74335 W/M.

The diagram doesn't make it clear when accessing the filter/pump (lower right front of W/M) whether only the cover screws off or whether more of the assembly should be extracted from the W/M
I've tried a "gentle tug" with a pair of pliers but surely accessing and cleaning the filter shouldn't be this difficult

Any advice would be appreciated

the filters should unscrew and pull out.

Sometimes the filter and pump are jammed with large items that prevent it all from moving or coming apart. In these instances it is usually better to remove the pump or sump hose that leads to the pump to clear the obstructions.

Quite a lot of "debris" had accumulated preventing the assembly from being extracted.

Will pay attention to this in future
