Aerial outlet but no aerial.

I've moved into a new build, on the Living room wall (same as master bedroom) their is an aerial outlet socket . I've plugged TV into it but theirs no signal.
I've opened box on wall and it's wired up.
Where would the lead , well lead to. There isn't an aerial in the loft .
How would I trace the co-ax cable ?.
I'm a jobbing builder but I don't deal with this type of thing. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I was under the impression they are pre cabled but you need to fit the aerial or dish. You will probably find it hidden in the loft somewhere

Yes new builds do not have the aerial, just the cabling in the wall. If you pop up in to your loft you will find the cable. Many people have Sky or Virgin and don't need an aerial.
