I am moving into a house where the water has been drained. The house has an electric copper Fortic system where the cold water is in a tank that seems to feed into a tank below it to be heated. This is just to heat water not for heating as there are storage heaters.
I have turned on the mains water so we have cold water and the tank filled up. When the boiler is turned on the bottom tank gets warm but when the hot taps are turned on no water comes out. I have tried leaving all the hot taps open for a few minutes but nothing happens.
The pipe that I belive the hot water should come out the boiler of also does not feel hot.
Can anyone help?
