air admittance valve

am having trouble with the valve, the toilet when flushed with the valve fitted fills the toilet upto the top, I replaced it with a new one butI am having the same problem. I removed the valve and it flushes ok. CAN ANYONE HELP

fills the pan to the top - you have a partial blockage in the soil system

fills the cistern to the top then it just needs adjusting

i'm not sure quite what you were trying to get across to be honest

by valve, you mean the part that lets the water into the system right?

the ball float or arm can be adjusted (or bent) to close the valve at whatever level you like.

Hey Stud I think he means AAV, but if the op can post a picture it will help.

the valve I am talking about is the AAV at the top of the soil stack

I'd say it was a blockage more than the AAV

if there is a blockage why does the water flush away ok if I remove the AAV from the soil stack, this is what I dont understand
