Air India plane crash

Did anyone else see the earlier BBC interview with the cousin?

Lost count of the number of times the reporter asked how he felt what with the guy being the only survivor...

He couldn't answer, but the same question kept coming...

A really sh*t bit of journalism!

My own experience of Indian flights is people are running for the exits as soon as the wheels bounce. I've never seen such crazy behaviour, just to get first in the queue. Rumours that the plane did not use all the runway and flaps were up seem to be everywhere.

Latest news - 1 British survivor.
You're right. On all the non Indian flights the passengers are the model of decorum before, during and after ...

What the feck this has to do with the unfolding tragedy feck only knows.

I get that reporters can have a tough job to do but jeez do I agree. Some of the questions they ask are ridiculous in the extreme.

I can’t believe that survivor literally just walked away from it although it looks like he was seated right next to the emergency exit. His brother who was sitting next to him, didn’t make it. :(

Seat 11A...
I always book the seats toward the back 1/3rd as they are the most survivable seats in a crash but I may have to rethink. He had an exit seat - wonder it that was a weak spot that opened up big enough to get thrown clear - but not his bro sitting next to him it seems.
Reminds me of the movie Unbreakable.

I wouldn't say it matters where you sit, it was pure luck, I bet it's never happened before and probably wont again..

Actually its a real thing from tests and from other fatal crashes towards the back is the most survivable - let me put it simply for you -- Planes do not generally reverse into mountains
