Can anyone help??

I posted earlier today about problems staring my Fiat Scudo, I have just spoken to the guy I bought it from who said it was quite low on diesel, is it possible that there could be some sort of air lock in the fuel pipe as when I try to start it, it turns over, catches then dies as if it is starved of fuel.

Is there a way of bleeding the fuel system?

Thanks

V

Low fuel should'nt cause an airlock unless theres some other problem, anyway as far as I know if you can loosen a injector pipe were it connects to a injector and crank the engine air should escape from there, but dont loosen to much so pipe comes off.
