'mare! builders doing work accidentally cut through one of the house alarm cables setting off the tamper alarm etc etc. Can this system be 'reset'? builders seem to think so but it is a pretty old alarm system and it isn't obvious what make it is!
Seperate keypad? Onboard? What is shwon on the display? Either text or LED indicators.
Nothing can be reset until the damaged cable and possibly fuses replaced.
There is a seperate key pad entry panel, currently power LED is flashing and screen is showing "PT 01". The make isn't clear at all; logo on key pad looks like three triangles in a weigh scales kind of design but no manufactureers brand or anything i can see....
Damaged cables were taped back together by builders...
3 Triangles means it is a Menvier panel. Made by Cooper security.
PT 01 is a code tamper on keypad 1.
Probably a TS700 as they were very popular and a solid panel.
Enter the correct code and see what happens.
Sounds like the battery needs changing also. Maplins sell a 7AH 12vdc one for about 25 quid.
If codes are lost it will require a complete reboot and reprogramming. Not too difficult if you know what you are doing. A good local company could assist. Expect a charge of £65.00.
