Alarm code not working

We have taken our battery out of our Scantronic 9448 system and when our power was turned off the alarm sounded. We do not use this system but we do know the 4 digit code to reset and have used this before. When we used this code today it did not work, we then tried 1234 and this did not work either. Please can anyone help ? We are getting a new battery but as the code no longer works we won't be able to turn the alarm off. We turned off the fuse in the main electrical box to stop the internal sounding and the external sound was on for a long time until it stopped of its own accord.
Any help appreciated

If the code is lost or not known, then the only way is to factory default control panel and reprogram alarm system.
