Alarm going off when not set Honeywell (securit 800L+)

My alarm went off today when it was not set. It stopped when the security code was entered now on the panel the tir light is amber the mains is green and day light Amber. Anybody any ideas what might have caused this? I was not home at the time but it seems like the alarm was not going off outside the house

That is the tamper light
Could be bell box tamper issue
Could be a cover not on securely on a detector
Could be keypad cover not on securely
Could be the main control panel lid
Could be a damaged cable
Could be faulty battery
Process of elimination with this control panel
Has it cleared after entering code and pressing # ?

Yes the tir light is now clear. The other two lights are the same as before.

Any ideas what to do next?

Get someone in or buy a multimeter .....it's going to be a trial and error job if nothing is showing high resistance

When was the panel battery last changed?

Thanks for your advice all. I git an engineers visit booked. I think it may be the battery, it hasn't been changed since I had the alarm which is 6 years

4/5 year battery change is the norm, don't leave longer.

Always write the date of fitting a battery ON the BATTERY

Don't think they have made the 800l for at least 10 years !

but the battery change still goes for any system, so in real life it should be on its 3rd battery now!
