Hello all,

I used to live in a 3 bed terraced house where I'd installed a Texecom Excel Ultimate KIT. It was quite reliable and had served me well.

I now live in a 4 bed detached house and need some recommendations with following caveats:
1. Before installing the built in wardrobes, I put wiring in place for PIR sensors in all 4 bedrooms + 1 in Living Room. 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs and 2 downstairs.
2. All the wires come together into an airing cupboard where the main consumer unit and gas/ electric meters are.
3. This airing cupboard is right in the middle of the house, while the internet router is by the entrance, so a WIRED CONNECTION between the router and the alarm panel (I believe mine in previous house was called Veritas) would be very difficult/ near impossible with built in installations and solid flooring in the way.
4. Because of points 2 and 3 above, I would prefer a WiFi enabled Alarm panel but Wired PIRs.
5. As I don't have a landline connection, I think I would leave out the Text/ Speech Dialler. Even if I get a landline in future, it would be right next to router so I would have the same issue with wiring as I have with panel I think.

Please feel free to ask further questions or correct/ update me on my 15 year old understanding. I look forward to all the recommendations from you.

Thanks.
