Have network camel alreahy in place for a camera, another for door bell
Want a network recorder and above two items connected to the recorder
Is there any camera that will connect to the recorder by WiFi also
Ring bell at front door, would like to replace that with wifi no annual fee

Any suggestions please.

TIA

Hypothetically speaking no idea without knowing the devices you already have.

An NVR will use IP addresses to connect to a camera, but the camera needs to use a protocol the NVR accepts. Onvif is a possibility if it doesn’t accept the actual cameras protocol. There are various version of onvif….. and so it goes on too many unknowns to say if and how well it will integrate.

As for doorbells, not all doorbells will record onto a NVR natively, for example EZVIZ cameras can be added to a hik NVR, however if the door bells is battery operated it won’t allow it to be added to the NVR. However some doorbells the stream can be accessed and that pulled into the NVR.

Firstly, thank you for replying to my query.

I have not purchased any components as yet. NVR thought is due to a close friend whose house was broken into despite him having full prot3ction with wifi components. The radio signals were jammed and the culprits smashed in through the patio door at the rear

Would a kit like this be an option?

Regarding the door bell, it need not be integrated and be a stand alone device

PS. I am a gas safe engineer focused on service, repairs and installation. Let me know if I can help you

£329 sounds pretty good to me and the manufacturer is generally well regarded so I wouldn’t have any concerns about getting that combo unit.

Outside my area and we get an engineer in for gas but thanks.

can’t comment on full protection, WiFi is easier to interfere with than hard wired.
WiFi devices still need power.

The number of cameras and resolution of them determines the size of the hard drive and days that can be recorded.

4 x 4k cameras at 20 fps is going to go through 2TB pretty quick

Don’t see model numbers so can’t comment beyond that.

So 264 or 265 compression, we don’t recommend 265+ for example, but 265 is usually okay and will save space.

I have seen some reolink footage and live views, depends on models and setup as to how good it is. On a remote building covering a large area camera okay in the day for seeing someone but night time wasn’t so good, sane canera in a internal space well illuminated was much better.

I can’t stress enough, it’s the right camera/ setup for what you want to achieve.

Buy smart not cheap.
