Alfie Evans

Alfie parents have been badly let down by their advisers, supporters and their cause has been hijacked.

This seems to sum up the situation as far as I am concerned. Of course the doctors have done as best that they can and should not be harassed by the 'mob mentality' that is going on there.

The question is, do we believe that 'our' doctors/courts know more than other doctors/courts anywhere else in the world?

Because if that is the case, then it is breathtaking arrogance!

There was a report after the Ashya case, and that "recommended that medical professionals communicate with parents better in future."

Change in attitude it appears is glacial in this country because the various professions/state do not wish to ever appear to be fallible!

The ECHR supported the decision of "our courts and doctors", iirc.

Tosh. The Italians were not offering a cure there isn't one.

Would you rather have facts or false hope?

Can experts be wrong. Sure they can but to use one error as evidence dismisses all the times they have been right.

Spare a thought for the other families going through the same heartache but showing more dignity and respect.

Ask that to the parents of Ashya King!

Maybe 'showing more dignity and respect' could also mean not questioning 'authority' enough?

"The NHS makes hundreds of millions of prescribing errors and mix-ups which contribute to as many as 22,300 deaths a year, according to a major report commissioned by the Government.
Errors include failures to properly monitor patients on powerful drugs, poor communication between GPs and hospitals, and giving patients the wrong medication."

What a load of drivel. You obviously know no doctors.

The vast majority of these cases the parents and the doctors agree.

Alfie parents have been badly let down by their advisers, supporters and their cause has been hijacked.

Demonising the medical staff. The decision was made by the high court. Medical experts from around the world agreed on his condition.

It's weird, the idiotic right for lifers won't fight for basic human rights.

I don't know the doctors. Do you ? Why are your 'assumptions' any more accurate than mine ? Do you know these people personally ?

What is this if not a systemic failure? Where have I demonised doctors or the NHS ?

I'm not a 'right for lifer'. I do believe in rights but only with their corresponding responsibilities. The leftist mantra that every criminal is somehow a victim of society and that we as a society should bend over backwards to do for them what they failed to do for themselves, sorry I don't buy it.

What has this thread got to do with the left or right of politics?

You have a victimhood mentality. The left is to blame for all societies problems. That's just plain stupid and wrong.

But it fits in with your warped view of society.

If you want to challenge the medical opinion that's fine and acceptable by doctors.

So in this case tell me the errors made by the drs. I'm waiting.

You're not making any sense.

The italians don't

They're UK drs, not "EU" doctors.
Ellal hates the UK so much, he'll try any angle to attack it.

Like virtually all NHS departments its a mix of nationalities and backgrounds (which actually is brilliant because each person can bring something different to the discussion because though they are all highly trained they gained their experience in different ways)

So not sure its about UK vs EU drs. More I think ellal believes he knows more than a group of highly skilled specialists and perhaps likes to knock the NHS?
