alpha boiler 240x - Intermittent Hot Water
the last few weeks we've started getting problems with intermitten hot water supply from our boiler
the hot water runs luke warm then cold then luke warm
if i slow the flow down it gets very warm the cold
i ve checked flow switches and diaphams working fine the boiler does't cut out
it makes no diffrence if central heating on
i am think heat exchange faulty any help

Yes, it does sound like a secondary heat exchanger full of sludge.

Thats best diagnosed by measuring the temperatures of the primary flow/return to it. It should ideally not exceed about 20 degrees.

i might check out the differetial pressure sense for sludge
