Alpha 280p boiler

I have the alpha 280p boiler and recently it has started playing up. After I have had a shower the boiler makes a gurgling noise and then will not ignite for ch or hw.It even sometimes makes a clunk and switches off the pilot light. If I turn the power supply off then back on and relight the pilot it works again until next shower I would appreciate any help or suggestions thanks.

If it always and only does this after running HW for a while, I would take the plate HE off and clean both sides thoroughly as a starting point.

Thank you for the speedy response really appreciate it. Is it something a non Gas safe person could undertake. I am a qualified sparky and competent at most things.

Yes. You don't have to touch any gas related or safety components.

Just make sure you cover any electrics/pcb before removing.

It would also be wise to have 4 new 'o' rings ready for when you re-fit it.
