I have 3 years old Alpha CB28C which for some reason locksout. All lights goes off like there is no power supply. After some time, it starts working OK.

It happens randomly. Whenever it goes off, it wont come on again for about an hour or so.

What can be wrong with it ?

If all the lights go off then i'd be checking your externall power supply.

The bottom light (green) should be on all the time, the one above that when the burner is lit, and the two red ones only when there is a fault,

If you need any spares let me know (fan, pcb, gas valve)

Power supply is fine. If it was power supply, it would not turn on again after some time.

I wonder if it is PCB or Fan but again I can't understand why it turns on after a few hours.

Thanks for reply.

When I read that it makes me think that you are assuming thats the case.

I would say that unless you have measured the supply to the boiler you simply dont know!

It saves time if you do proper tests first. Now you seem to have made a visit and left without identifying the fault.

Perhaps you are an employee or manage to charge the customer for two visits.

I have to do all repairs for a single payment of £84 and so I have to identify the fault in just one visit just like manufacturer's engineers are expected to do.

You need to test the mains supply when the light (the bottom one) goes out this wil prove wether its the incoming supply or the pcb :)
