The shamelessness of it means that Trump has installed a method of politics whereby instead of the truth, people are told what they want to hear (populism at its most insidious), rather than the facts. What is going on in the US presently is ridiculous and a lot of it is rubbing off on the latest crop of Tory sycophants.
A lot of it is born from this victim mentality...
Almost everyone is a victim these days...
How many versions of LGBT do the community need? More obviously as they have made up more names so they can feel butt hurt for longer, trans rights are now trumping women's rights and you get shot by the pc police for saying so, people are now seeing racism in everything.. you can't tell women who are inappropriately scantily clad to cover up without them blaming you for sexualising them (but isn't that the reason they are wearing f**k all in the first place)...
Politicians just lie left right and centre and there is so much fake news about it's hard to work out the truth at times, social media have to much control over people's lives and use polarising tactics to keep their advertising revenue up, you have the minority ruling...
The world is literally knackered and it seems everyone has lost the ability of common bloody sense..
I don't disagree that to some extent populism is an antidote to woke-ism, they are reluctant bedfellows.
