hiya all, had some new taps fitted (basin) as they were well passed there sell by date and they were dripping and had limescale damage

i thought with fitting new taps - they would be 0 no drip!!

i open the tap and it drips a tiny bit after the taps has run (only for a couple of seconds) not continues likes the old ones!!

and one thing that bugs me the most is the taps seem to hold a water drop on the end of them??

is this a bad designed shaped tap (ive seem this on others) but not all

i know this is a very minor issue but things like this keep me up lol??

any reason?? thanks all

It's to do with water tension and friction and stuff, ask a physics teacher. If it bugs you that much, keep an absorbent pad handy and wipe the drip off when you're done

When you finish using the tap lightly place a finger over the end of tap spout , this should 'draw' any excess water out of the spout.........................or maybe change the taps for a monobloc , at least that way it will only be one spout dripping.

world peace, the recession, this damn CONDEM government and all you got to worry about is a tap ...............yes you are nuts

Am I going nuts!!!!!!
Too late, it’s already happened  just keep replenishing the box of Kleenex tissues

Just curious but do you also have a ceiling plan for your Christmas decorations; it’s just that I know someone else who does & he also worries about such things :?

thanks for your comments!!!!!!!!

i can understand the Logic that people have commented on, only thing is though x1 of our basin taps - does some thing strange

it hold a drip - Then for the next hour or so it continues to drop water, (not a lot) about a cup full) ?? why does it only do it on one???

I had x3 other taps fitted at the same time and they dont hold any water the same as this and there all the same style tap??

any thoughts please

There is something wrong with the tap! Debris trapped in the ceramic valve! Cheap poor quality taps!

Perhaps call whoever fitted them back & ask them to sort it?
