I'm converting a old industrial building in to a couple of flats.

The 1st floor flat will have a large jacuzzi bath in the bedroom
I'm also having a wetroom. The waste pipes are 40mm

So far so good ...

I was going to have a straight 7 metre run of 40mm pipe which I was planning on connecting the wetroom, jax, and kitchen/laundry waste in to.

Am I setting myself up for problems? The reason for the single run of pipe is only one core hole thru the solid wall. It will also look a lot neater outside.

The concern is ... as the jax/washing machine is discharging a problem in the waste causes it to back up and flood the wetroom

Think you will need to use 50 mm waste and a AAV or Hep2o trap for your project :D

The wetroom kit has a vertical marmox trap with a 40mm reducer as standard. Haven't purchased the jax bath but their spec sheet says waste = 40mm

Go to 50mm for the waste.
Use a Vented or Resealing trap on the jax (I like that word, I didn't know I had a jax)
Put one of those posh tellies in the wall by the bath, and a drinks cabinet.
Make sure the fall on the pipe is even all the way, (1 in 30 - 40) as any possibility of sagging to horizontal will mean blockages.
Make sure there's a rodding provision up the jaxie end.
Separate pipes for the appliances would be better, but you'll probably get away with it.
Separate waste for the wetroom, otherwise the waste from your jaxie will come up out of the floor. You could use a HepVO trap.

The TV etc is to give the user something to do while the sad little combi fills the Jacooozie. Mine fills at 40 litres/ minute, and yours is bigger.

Marmox is a board not a trap - -unless you have a special problem with small furry animals?

spec sheet says waste = 40mm
Yeah we know, we're plumbers 8)
Use a step-down coupler, in reverse.

"Marmox (UK) Ltd is a British company that forms part of the Marmox group of companies. We provide competitive and well-made products for use in the construction and refurbishment industries"

A company that supplies products not just a board
