Unless you pay a vast sum to have your floor prepared to the exact spec with the right adhesives the stuff is likely to lift up in the future (the product may have a 20yr guarantee....BUT....the floor fitting only has a one year guarantee). Then the stuff DOES scratch/ scuff and will need cleaning/ stripping etc.
Yes the stuff goes down on the floors in flash shops............BUT what they don't tell you is those shops have contractors coming in and applying high solids floor polishes applied by machine to maintain the finish which keeps it more scratch/scuff resistant.
It must be easier to buy some jolly old carpet and not have any worries!

well worth the money. Some scratch easy yes, but lots of LVTs are top quailty.
And some good professionals will give a 10 year fitting warranty.

Daz..............I presume you're a floor fitter? it seems from the different complaints I've read on forums that Karndean is easier to scuff and scratch than Amtico and that darker colours show the scratches more than lighter ones.
Luckily I have a suspended timber floor because it seems concrete ones require loads more preparation with a higher likelihood of problems years down the line.
From the price of Amtico and all the prep costs, I could buy 3 carpets which have no 'is the floor as level as a billiard table' and 'how long will it be until it's all scratched up' problems
