Not really meaningful to compare "on a rolling basis" - not apples and apples.
I just checked uk flu deaths for a couple of non-covid years which were 70,000 and 110,000.
So, covid having been spread over a couple of years, it's of the same order of magnitude as covid in the UK.
There were "far" fewer cases of flu in the covid years due to lockdowns, so without ascribing numbers, it can be said that covid needs controlling more than flu does.
Which of course, is why we have vaccinations for both.
Scanning across the tables, there were noticeably more deaths proportionally in the younger age groups (up to say 50), for covid than for flu.

They were.
But since flu is less contagious than COVID it almost died out in the UK due to social distancing. In fact at least one strain of the flu is believed to have gone extinct.
You seem to have very strong opinions but not much actual information here.

Covid doesnt just affect the elderly and vulnerable.
It is a dangerous virus that can affect people from 30 upwards. There are millions now suffering long covid.
There are plenty of people in their 40s, 50s, 60s, that have died from it.
That is completely wrong
