Andy Burnham

Great counter-argument. Classic Woody, can never put together a response.

Just made up some false allegations and called them "presumably"

if he had any actual big solutions to match his big mouth. And that is exactly why Labour are doing abysmally poor in the polls and in the minds of the electorate - Corbyn/Burnham/JD just the same old backward socialist mentality of the oppressed, with no concept that the world has moved on and people may actually want to work at Amazon, and Uber.

In a funny way I kind of agree.

Labour Vs Tory is no longer divided in the same way -its not workers versus the management, working class versus the toffs

Im not sure Labour party know who their voters are any more ....or who they want them to be

No they don't.

Like it or not the man and boy, father and son worker down the pit or in the mills age has long gone. People now have aspirations which are more than working in a poxy factory all day and then going down the pub while their wife does the cooking at home and looks after the kids.

People want flexibility. To take the kids to school then do a bit of work and then pick the kids up. To work a few days and then have more than the weekend off. They want to move up the ladder, or to another job, or to another house.

They don't want to be tied to a role with some old commie union rep constraining them "for the collective good".

Labour is just like the Church and unable or unwilling to realise that they don't have that control over people anymore. People are wiser, and have wisened up to the labour of 1971 not being relevant in 2021.

but do they actually "want" to have low pay and no rights?
Who TF wants low pay? Everyone wants more than they get, but not everyone is worth more than they get.

The rights are there. As is the right to walk away from a crap employer and find a better job with better pay.

John are you that far detached from reality.
Labour is the party for you.
Tell me, who’s supporters in general are you most likely to get hurled abuse from?
How can labour supporters have the gaul to call conservatives the nasty party?
They are spiteful, insulting, patronising cowards. (Summed up completely by members like Elle, John & Nosenothing.)

Someone commented last week that Labour seemed to believe that the vocal woke, pitchfork-wielding, twitter and facebook mob were actually representative of the UK electorate and support for Labour.

But you are right, the cancel culture, "agree with me or else you are racist/bigot/fascist/irrelevant person" to be abused and shouted down, is endemic within the left, and it's a sorry state.

It's been a long time since I have heard a compelling alternative reasoned argument from any leftie. And to be honest, even the abuse is third-rate and they are shiite at that too.

I’m self employed, I’ve got no rights. I’ve got no protection. I don’t whinge about it. I just perform the best I can
Am I an oppressed worker by your rules John?

Lol. So your clients can just not pay you. Get insurance, or are you winging it.
You chose to become self employed. So don't make it out that you were forced into self employment and need sympathy.
