I've just noticed that an American remake of the very british comedy "Death at a Funeral" is opening this week. Don't these people have any imagination

Cant think of a single remake of any film, book, video, or audio track that was better than the original, apart from Joe Cocker's 1969 Woodstock version of the Beatles 'With a Little help From My Friends'

I agree that most remakes are duds but there have been a few decent ones too: Insomnia, Cape Fear, The Maltese Falcon, The Fly, 12 Monkeys, The Bourne Identity, Fatal attraction to name a few.
