Ok Isar installed 3 months ago...complete system. One month later was not firing up so got a new pcb. Since that was installed it has started passing on the diverter valve. I have no leaway with the customer as he is fuming. Basically is it new diverter cartridge or can the new board somehow induce the fault?

You need to take the head of the DV and see if the head is moving properly, usually it is.
Next, see if the valve part is returning fully under spring pressure, it usually is not!
Even the smallest amount of oxides will stop it fully returning. Pumping it up and down will usually cure it for a while. Taking it apart and cleaning with wire wool on the body and silicone grease on the seal will usually cure it for at least several months.
Different chemicals can cause some swelling of the seals so I stay clear of the F... word inhibitors.
