Another Keston for the skip, 14 months old.

Burner welds broken so that needs replacing.
Insulation inside rear of combustion chamber broken, so K say the CC needs changing.
Anyone had a similar problem and K NOT replaced it free?
They could complain that there's a rad for a bypass, and not an ABV, and claim overheating because of that, maybe.

I have seen a similar boiler with a hole burnt in the side of teh combustion chamber.

There response as always was that there was probably not enough flow!

The boiler has temperature controls to keep the temp low. It is invariably a flow problem when that happens.

That is what is why thermal store and heat banks should be used. Always full flow at all times. A nice big CH buffer too.

What amazes me is that this is touted as a small commercial boiler. It doesn't come anywhere near Atag or Viessmann in terms of quality or guarantee. I bet keston would laugh at you if you enquired about a 10 year warranty on the HE.

Are keston not the boilers that 3/4 years back everyone was saying this is the way forward and are the best thing since sliced bread a bit like we are now hearing viesman , atmos, etc are now, Or am i mistaken
