I think it's a very very old (showing my age now) Redifusion box for tellies and radio and not functional now as Redifusion went defunct a million years ago.

Very interesting. I see the last thread was from 2011.
The property it is in, is in Gloucester and so ties-in with the Bristol comments.
Similarly, the cables appear to disappear up inside the wall.
Think I'll stick it on Ebay. Clearly not needed in 2024 anyways.
