Any Issues Installing Plume Kit Onto Flue

I'd like to install a plume kit on this flue

Based on the pic, can you anticipate any issues for the gas engineer when installing?

He thinks that the projection of the flue could lead to difficulty securing the plume kit to the wall

What would be a work around?

Any other potential issues?
