Any screed experts??

Had a 80-100 mm sand/cement screed laid over 75mm insulation in a 6 m x 4 m conservatory. Company doing it did not add any reinforcement or fibres (even though their quote clearly states reinforced with mesh)

Does it need reinforcement? Info varies, some say as its 75mm+ it doesn't Had some cracks appear after commissioning the UFH, nothing major but as I'm spending a lot on tiles I'm worried they may come up in the future

Fibres would have been useful but no biggie.

We had a large floor screeded with UFH beneath complete with fibres, expansion around the edges, decent (100mm) depth etc.

Still cracked when the heating was tuned on.

However, the cracking is unlikely to effect the bond of the tiles.
