Any way to lighten laminate flooring?

Hi there, so we just bought a nursery set for our 'soon to be here' baby's em, and the colour of the wood is a pale oak colour, and our laminate flooring is a darker laminate colour. What I would guess is the most common colour, a tea like colour I suppose.

Is there any way to lighten the flooring? I really don't fancy tearing it up, let alone the expense of it. Any ideas are welcome!

Laminate is usually a photograph of wood printed on paper. Apart from sun fading there's no way of lightening it.

If you want it to match, stain the real wood furniture darker.

However the baby isn't likely to care. Just put a rug over the floor to soak up the puke.
