I have a business line for work, for which I pay BT's £4.50 a bill surcharge for wanting to actually read my bill before they whip the money out of my account.
And I have business broadband through BT, which gets billed separately, and for which I also get to pay £4.50 per bill.
Now I have no real problem with the above, but.....
On my wireless router, there is a phone port, which BT encouraged me to use to make VOIP calls. I tried it out once, but decided to stick with Skype, so imagine my amusement to recieve the bill:
Girlfriend had her car serviced today...
She was told it would cost £840, but later informed that the price had risen to £985.00. .
I just agreed as I know this happens, but fair play to her, she went loopy on the phone saying they should have contacted her before doing the work etc etc, and they put the price back to the £840 !!!!!!! . I had paid on my card already, so the final twist was that the extra money paid is now a 'credit' at the garage, ( like we want to take it back there !!) so they will get it all anyways !!!!
Gutted
Kin ell also I really think you have been ripped off ,,,,,,,,,who the hell would pay that for a SERVICE and the rip off merchants try to screw you again........as the saying goes "there is one born every minute" unless you hav a formula one?
Renault Megane 100k, 53 plate.
Main dealer.
I advise her not to use the main dealer, but she maintains that she doesn't trust 'other garages '????
And on the subject, she informs me that her membership with the AA ( the motoring people, not the other!), is useless as they do not have the 'software' for Renaults, and when she called them out one night after a blown headlamp (she did too!) the bloke struggled for 30mins, then said that he could not get to the fusebox,it would have to go to a Renault garage ! not bad for just under £100 a year !
