Anybody know where to source a 1.5" NPT immersion heate

hi folks,

im trying to locate a 6kw or near to 6 kw immersion heater that has a 1.5 inch normal pipe thread not 2 1/4 BSP. i am having trouble finding anywhere that stocks any such type.


anybody know different?

What do you mean by a 'normal pipe thread' ?
BSP British Standard Pipe) and BSPT (taper) ARE normal pipe threads in UK and europe.

Equipment designed in the US uses NPS (National Pipe) and NPT (tapered)threads, which are American standards.

What is the heater for? how long are the heating elements?
A 6 KW heater would probably be a tight fit in a 1.5" fitting if the heat is dissipated by convection, and impossible to remove if it acquires a layer of limescale.

Is it to heat a pumped circulation, something like a swimming pool heater?

NPT or national pipe thread (sometimes called normal pipe thread) is what i meant, you are correct

the heater i have which is broken is 1.5 NPT which fits into a 2 inch diameter tube. it is a pool heater. The elements are not a tight fit
