Anyone have a design for a pine wall folding bed

Hi

I have a space I wish to use as a bedroom when necessary and a living room at other times.

It has an alcove and I wish to build into this space a bed with mattress that will fold down from the wall when needed.

The bed size I wish to use is Double ( 135cm x 190cm)

Anyone got any good drawings ?

I was looking into these the other week. I really want to build one but don't want to pay a lot of money for the hardware kit which is essentially a few bolts and some springs.

Someone on a youtube video was talking about gas pistons, like the ones you get in a car boot but obviously bigger. They're meant to be better than using springs. I also read about utilizing bungee cords....

Did you have any luck in your search?

Gas pistons sounds like a good idea.

Yes : the kit for a few springs etc is exceptionally expensive.
