THE GOD DELUSION - Thought provoking and educational, Everyone should read this book, especially The Pope and The Archbishop of Canterbury. Even if you disagree with Dawkins, at least you have considered how a very intelligent scientist looks for evidence to support his ideas . Maybe you don't agree with him but if you don't then because you have considered his theories and dismissed them, your religious beliefs will be strengthened. Personally I can't disagree with this great man, as his conclusions bear scrutiny whereas any other religion doesn't

I found "End of faith" by Sam Harris and "Breaking the spell" by Daniel Dennett to be much better in their tone and arguements, especially the latter.

Incidentally, I found a piece of paper sticking out of a copy of The God Delusion in Waterstones.

It said..."Damn you non believers you are all going to Hell!"...which was nice.

Isn't that so typical of those hypocritical religious bigots. Haven't the intelligence to listen to logical thought which presents evidence which questions their blind faith. They need to read and produce counter arguments to support their faith, but because they either are not intelligent enough to do so or they just can't produce any evidence to support their belief, they resort to this sort of argument which actually supports all of us non believers....... Which is nice!!!!!
