Anyhoo, back to books...

I'm re-reading Cider With Rosie, a book I did at 'O' level (none of these nancy GCSE's thank you very much!) and started reading in 1980.

I've just finished it and I'm starting it again!! :wink:

I also liked Catcher In The Rye.

My school was a Quaker boarding school and we had to attend a meeting twice every Sunday. The head would allow us to read quietly if we did not want to participate, so I took CITR in with me one morning.

About 30 minutes in, there was a huge guffaw from the side benches.... :oops:
 
I read catcher in the rye a year or so back I didn't get it really or indeed finish it :( Cider with rosie is another matter a great book, also re-read wuthering heights a book I read for my o' level and hated it at the time, loved it this time round, made all the more atmospheric for having visited Haworth shortly before reading the book.
