Hi,

I'm moving a bathroom upstairs and need to move the soil pipe. At the moment it's buried under the concrete slab at the rear of the property. Is there an easy way to work out where it goes without digging the slab up? Would a CCTV inspection work or would it get confusing as to where it's going/gone?

Cheers,

Lift the manhole lids.

Flush the loo.

Add food colouring to the loo water if it gets confusing. (You can get coloured drain tracer dye)

Drains should run in more-or-less straight lines underground.

HSS hire shops C.A.T. and a detection Sonde. you rod the drain with the sonde and the cat pick up where it's at. Used one once and it was dead easy. even for me.

There is only a single manhole cover on the property (that I can see) and it's for the public sewer. I've lifted it and there are no signs of any pipes that join it.

I took a picture of it if you need it posting?
