I will starting bathroom refurb in the next couple of weeks and have considered using aqua panel for all the walls then tiling directly onto that.Can it only be fixed using battens, I contacted knauf the manufacturers about using plasterboard adhesive but they said it wouldn't work because it's gypsum based. I cant see why it wouldn't work after all it sticks to bricks/mortar concrete blocks etc. Anyone have any suggestions.
 
Aquapanel is heavier than drywall plasterboard, hence needs screwing to the walls to hold it in place. It would probably fall off under it's own weight before the adhesive sets.
