Aqualsa quartz digital shower

Hi,
Wondered if anyone could help at all...

We have an aqualisa quartz digital shower that we are currently having problems with.

We turn it on, the blue light comes on, it spurts and splutters, make the noise like it is going to start and then stops. The blue light stays on and is unable to be turned off by pressing it. We have to switch it off from fuse box and then switch back on again.

Aqualisa customer services have advised we need a new digital processor ( ours is the old grey version) and have advised they can supply and fit new black version of this for £260.

Just wondered if we can do anything before going down this route..maybe something I can try beforehand. I'm just worried we will pay tat money out and that is not the problem.

Try cleaning the inlet filters, they are under the hot and cold inlets on the processor box.

Turn the water off.
