hi
I want to carve a tree trunk/branch and am very impressed with the arbortech turbo plane but it's chuffing expensive!

Is there a cheaper alternative maybe on Amazon that I could try before committing to a superior product?

Thanks

A lot of crazy blades on the market these days for grinders! just make sure you are waring thick gloves and goggles plus ear defenders.

I have one. I'm sure it was made by arbortech back around 2005, but a quick Google gives images similar to one by Rotarex. It was about £10-15. Came with a plastic guard that was supposed to attach to the grinder.

Very good, and very dangerous - I still have the scar from the blade caching my hand before the wheel stopped spinning when I was setting the grinder down.
