i could off illustrated it much better but forum rules forbid me , as your name suggest your HALFWAY to knowing or understanding FA . who wants your ridiculous two pence worth . ill say again wheres your contribution ?
Batter me all you like, some of you treat people horrendously and if you don't like the same questions then go and start another forum and leave these poor people alone.
I'm sure you'd all look like morons asking about any other topic of life you need advice on.
Some of you seem so battle weary from all the "helping" you think you do that you might as well just go and help yourself off onto some other poor forum of hopeful info seekers.
As one of you said you spent thousands learning the trade so just spend your time doing that and don't pretend to help when all you actually want to do is troll people who ask you questions.
It seems that a lot of people who ask questions here have already paid for someone to come and diagnose the fault and then repair the fault but the person did not repair the fault. They lack the ability to diagnose faults accurately. Can you blame people for asking for advice about how to repair a boiler when the RGI they employed cannat repair the boiler yet still expects to be paid ? It isn't always that they want to learn how to do the repair themselves, they just want to be able to see / understand what the problem might be so they can maybe suggest it to the next pseudo engineer who calls but obviously cannot diagnose the fault.
That said many RGIs (R G Installers ) do have the additional ability, skill, knowledge and experience to diagnose accurately and repair accordingly on the first visit.
Not sure how I can make that clearer Dan to be honest.....
I don't understand why you pretend to offer help to people when all you're actually doing is making yourself feel better about how much more you know on any given subject....
It's time you bucked up and shared your considerable expertise in a civil manner or just don't and go make yourself feel better about life by belittling someone else.

who is actually pretending ???????? at least their trying to give advice more than your actually giving (absolutely nothing ) . i always give information that I've experienced and never give false info , if its not true then don't say it, if its wrong then i learn by it (all the better ).

And stop criticising other people's written English when you're no saint.
I think you'll find, if you read the forum fully rather than selectively choosing the posts you deem negative, that I and many other contributers here give plenty of useful advice.
