Are ALL yorkshire fittings lead free?

The old lead pipe is fine since over time the inside of the pipe has been coated with the patina which happens naturally as the lead pipe oxidises with the water running through it. Of course when this pipe is cut or damaged is when you have to be careful and there are specific jointing methods when working on old lead pipes to lessen the lead exposure to the water.

leaded solder is also easier to work with than unleaded solder I find.

I always use lead free solder on domestic pipe work and leaded for ch and gas pipes
