You can expect decent bricks and colouration etc when you buy best (Class A). With class B's - not so much. It even states as such in the literature.

Wrong. The Class is the strength rating, not a quality grade.

All engineering bricks are lower grade than facing bricks, you're stating the bleeding obvious.
You said that Class B are worse looking than Class A, which is complete rubbish and you now know it, you've learnt this just today from those who actually know things.
You promised "literature" that stated your wonky view. Did your dog eat it?
Those Class B bricks I got from Brickhunter are absolutely A-grade lovely in appearance.
They're very variable between brands. But I'd say that the ones I got at first weren't really suitable for anything. I doubt they'd be frostproof with all those cracks, and I'd be worried they'd crumble into the drain if used in an inspection chamber.
I'll stick to Brickhunter in future, only use the local suppliers for sand and gravel.
