Ariston washing machine wont take in hot water.

Ariston washing machine wont take in hot water. Have checked water flow to machine which is fine and changed water inlet valve to no effect. I don't think the cold water is being heated either. What's the problem?

was it a new valve you tried in the m/c?

have you looked yo see are there any bad connections

It is a new water inlet valve I have tried. Which connections do you suggest I check? the electrical wires appear connected and the water hoses are ok Thanks

does the valve click when it (apparently) opens try a screwdriver on the top you should feel the pull from the coil if its working

if you turn the water off you can here them hum (if they work)

I can hear them hum when the water is turned off.
