Hi,

I'm installing pond pump & lights in the garden & was considering using an Armadillo pre-assembled kit as it apparently is meets Regs & Part-P.

With the "Permenant Wired" kit with the junction box on the end, you obviously have to wire in your pump & lights.

But how far can you go, can I wire up a fancy new wireless dimmer switch in between the pump/lights & the junction box?

I assume there is a reasonable limit which this Armadilo kit is covers the regs? Otherwise when do I need to get in a sparky to do the job?

Cheers

The armadillo kit in my opinion is an abomination. It does not imho meet the non-notifiable criterion of part-p as it does not use integral plug-socket connections.

may be wrong, but as its garden fixed wiring would that not make it come under part p

Yes, part p notifiable work as it will be part of a special installation. IIRC the SI says something like pre-fabricated kits with plug + socket connections and CE marked are non-notifiable.
