Any particular reason?

We have fairly often had threads where a shed supply is added to an outside socket and 'off the top of my head' I don't recall it being a big no-no before, sure there were discussions about suitability for the situation but in principle a 13A socket on a 32A circuit is okay.

Well obviously im not familiar with BS7671 . My opinion.

If a DB is fitted in an outbuilding for lights sockets etc. and a socket is mounted on exterior of same building

The expectation of anyone untrained or not familiar with the install will be that turning off the shed isolator will cut power to that socket

Only if it's listed on the CU labels

Yes I had anticipated that would be the rule or even a warning notice of some sort
Not something I would consider acceptable practice regardless

The rules are what matter anyhow so that’s that

To what extent should one avoid doing things which are compliant and useful because of faulty expectations of people who don't know what they are doing, and don't do what they should?

It's not so much people don't know what they are doing

Its a reasonable expectation of the unwary that a Shed DB will isolate a socket on shed exterior

And just wire the damn socket from the shed DB not the supply cable
