What's the best brand of Artex powder mix for an artexed ceiling repair?

A couple of square feet to do as the result of a bit of a water leak.

DIYspanner, good evening.

Irrespective of the type of Artex you use you may find you are struggling to get a good match for the design to emulate the patch you are intending to make?

be prepared to be faced with either

1/. Scrape off the rest of the remaining Artex and overcoat
2/. Skim and then overcoat if Artex is desired.

Trying to "match" an Artex pattern has generally been a bitch of a thing to attempt?

I have done it before after a "frank Spencer" moment in the loft but my ceiling was a sort of a random squishy swirl none with a stiff plastic bag crunched up. Its not such a problem with the matching pattern but the join between the old and new. Lots of laying on bed looking up and scraping off bits when it was half set to get it to blend in. After a few thick coats of paint I was quite pleased with the result.
And the best artex to use ------- er dare I say - Artex.:D
