Indeed Peter, when I decided to put a V6 lump in my Mk4 Astra the mechanical work (which was extensive) still took 3 weeks less than doing the wiring, which was a total nightmare.
Gone are the days of twin webbers and distributor caps
i agree! working on my 79 Trans Am is a dream compared to my Astra diesel and Focus 1800 petrol. Theres hardly anything there other than the lump, carb, dizzy and alternator -and a few small sender units.
