No. It would be much better to have a blanket policy stating that if they arrive here illegally then they will be sent back.
They will then go to some other soft country, until they get tired of them too.

If I was fleeing torture then as soon as I was safe I would kiss the ground I stood on. I wouldn't keep going across 5 countries to head to the UK - especially if I might be sent back.

I said on here months back it would be like a battered wife fleeing her home and running to the house across the street in search of safety.
They welcome her in and give her shelter.
Two weeks later she says I'm off.

I honestly don't know what the current status is. Are they currently accepting returns from us.
