Secondly i want to insulate this room as cheap as possible my question is what can i use on the actual roof to insulate ? i wont be using that fibreglass stuff as it will be hazardous to my snakes ,i was thinking about the polystyreen with foil or ??
The wood thats upright will be removed and replaced closer to the out side edge to give the room more width

Thanks for any replies from a newbie

if you are to make the space 'habitable' then full reg's will be needed.

the alterations will involve a stronger floor with beefier joists, kingspan or cellotex in the rafters, ventilation, stairs with 2m headroom, etc, etc.
