We would like to convert two sets of window curtains into automatic opening and closing. The curtains are the eyelet style hanging on a brass rail (tube) with a central opening ie two curtains per window. I want to keep the existing curtains and rails etc and just add the auto mechanism. A quick google shows a variety of units that fit onto the round tube rail and then motor along with a rubber wheel for grip to push the curtains closed or open.
Has anyone tried/used/have these type of units and how did they work efficiency wise ? Do they do the job ?
Any recommendations welcome. Thanks
Brian.

I've never seen one or know of anyone with one.
Have looked at those clip on pole ones for £100 Ish. Don't think I could be bothered with it.
I'd never sell one to the Mrs to start with.
Guess I'm lucky to have a automatic curtain closer (wife)

I think you either buy a cheap clip on for £100, or it could get complicated with power required and battery backup.

I think people go more for exterior window rollers. Seen a few of those
