Aygo, C1, 108 high level brake light lens removal

Any tips on removing the high level brake light lens from a Peugeot 108?
Its the same as the mk2 C1 and Aygo.

I have managed to crack the lens on my granddaughter's car whilst trying to get her rear wash wipe working.

The C1 has two screws securing it....is the Aygo not the same?

Mk1 has 2 screws up to 2014, the mk2 from 2015 onwards is held in by clips that cant be seen.

Have you tried careful levering with a plastic spatula or similar? If there isn't any trim behind the lamp unit for access that must be the way it fixes?

Piece of trim that can be removed say 2 x 4 inches but you cant see to get hold of the spring clips that hold the cluster in place.

Does the trim cover the electrical connection?
Maybe a good squirt of silicone spray around the clip area may prevent damage as you lever away......I have replaced a C1 lamp but not the later Aygo.

If you need to replace the unit, have a look at the new one first? May give you a clue.

Thanks, managed to get the old one out, it was knackered anyway. The new one will just push in against the pressure of the spring clips. I have had a good look and now waiting for the replacement to arrive.
